KD Cologne Düsseldorf
The KD-ships ply between Rüdesheim and Koblenz. Particularly recommendable is a trip on the paddle wheel ship GOETHE. Landing stages are Rüdesheim, Bingen, Assmannshausen, Bacharach, Kaub, Oberwesel, St. Goar, St. Goarshausen, Bad Salzig, Kamp-Bornhofen, Boppard, Braubach, Rhens, Oberlahnstein, Niederlahnstein and Koblenz.
Ferries
There are five foot and car ferries on the section between Rüdesheim and Koblenz. They are near Rüdesheim, Niederheimbach, Kaub, St. Goarshausen and Boppard. There is also a foot passenger ferry with bicycle transport near Lahnstein.
German Railways
The local passenger trains ply between Rüdesheim and Koblenz on both sides of the river Rhine.
Hunsrück Train
The Hunsrück Train plies between Boppard and Emmelshausen on the steepest line section to the north of the Alps.
