never destroyed
hilltop castle

The extreme value and the importance of Marksburg Castle rest on its complete monument protection as a medieval bastion.

The impressive fortress (mainly from the 14th century) includes a tower, several buildings, passages and bastions on a rock cone above the romantic small city of Braubach.

Make a trip to the Middle Ages. You will see lovely, typical interiors such as castle kitchen, knight's hall, bower, armoury, wine cellar, walks along the battlements and turret rooms.
