The Prince Elector's Castle provided with towers and the Balduin bridge form a piece worth visiting at the Old Town of Koblenz.
Around 1185 the castle was built by the gentlemen "Von der Arken", from 1277 on it was extended by archbishop "Heinrich von Vinstingen" of Trier. Afterwards Prince Elector's Castle was transformed several times. It served temporarily as residence of the archbishops and now accommodates parts of the municipal library as well as the town archive.
A spiral staircase from sandstone is worth seeing.
