Today the rests of it can be visited in the archaeological park by Boppard.

A city walk in the wine city of Boppard finds it's suitable end of course in one of the numerous taverns named "Straußenwirtschaft". Where one meets the Bopparder in comfortable round, one must not look on the winelist long to find the best pints on the Middle Rhine. Since in immediate proximity lies one of the best of wine-growing districts. In sunny south position it extends in a crescent-shaped manner along the large Rhine loop. It is called the "Bopparder Hamm". On 75 hectars the queen of the vines, the Riesling is cultivated. To heart desire one can cost the Bopparder wines in April, directly on site if the winegrowers, when they invite to the Wine Spring on the Middle Rhine. However a walk by the Bopparder Hamm is also worthwhile at any other season. Beside the magnificent view, above all, the inclination corners of the steep slopes are impressive, which could cause - the non-winegrowers - fast dizzy spells, but, it makes the next pint a very tasty one.

Who expands the walk, reaches from the Bopparder Hamm over a very well developed footpath net to the four-sea outlook and the Gedeonseck, a restaurant, from where you have a fantastic view over the big Rhine loop. Then back to Boppard it goes comfortable with a small cablecar.
